About the Founder

John Collins...

...was born in Kingston, Jamaica and has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of International Freight Consolidators Inc., and its two subsidiary companies Collins International Inc., and Jamaica Trading Ltd since 1995.

He was educated at Calabar High school in Kingston, Jamaica and trained in Aviation at Burnside Ott Aviation in Miami, Florida. He furthered his studies at Florida International University, successfully completing many business development and administration programs.

John has numerous years of experience in the Shipping Industry and has attachments with various Transportation and Maritime organizations both locally and internationally. His career in the Shipping Industry has spanned over twenty five years, first as the importer and business developer with Manpower Jamaica ltd, a position he held after starting as a management trainee in the mid 1980's. In 1990 he migrated to the United States and immediately placed his stamp on the Freight Consolidation industry. International Freight Inc., was born and in very short order achieved the status of being the largest freight consolidator to Jamaica.

International Freight Consolidators Inc., is a licensed Ocean Transportation Intermediary registered with The Federal Maritime Commission in very good standing. International Freight Consolidators Inc., is well known in the Caribbean as a leader in the industry, having offices and agents throughout the region. John is very well known in the South Florida community and very active in fund raisers promoting youth and education programs in Jamaica. He is an avid sports fan and is most proud of his wonderful family and amazing friends.
